Typing
2–3 minutes for a complex prompt. You have to think about what to type, structure it, and get the wording right.

20 seconds, more natural, better results. You include more context and nuance because you're just talking.

More importantly: the way you think is closer to how you speak than how you type. When you dictate, you include more context, more nuance, and more of what you actually mean. The results from Claude are noticeably better.
Superwhisper sits in your menu bar and transcribes anything you say — with remarkable accuracy — directly into whatever is on your screen. Including the Claude Code terminal.
A paid plan gets you the best transcription quality (uses OpenAI Whisper). There is a free tier to try it first.
Superwhisper works best when you assign it a hotkey — a key combination that starts and stops recording.
